Prediabetes A little bit confused after today

Good evening all hope you are well

I was on anxiety medication olanzapine for 20 years came off December 2020 this drug can cause diabetes.

In December 2020 my fasting blood test was 45 so prediabetic yesterday 23/3/2021:my fasting blood test was 48 so my doctor says I am diabetic

No symptoms that I know of. My doctor is not doing anything had a telephone appointment with him today. Going to retest in 2 months. Just said cut out my sugars, lose weight, exercise, healthy eat and see what the levels are like in 2 months

Currently I have the Agamatrix wavesense jazz but find this difficult to understand the reading

Anyone know of a good replacement I could purchase

Don't know what to do am I diabetic or not do I need treatment

Thank you so much my lovely for taking the time to reply to my post greatly appreciated and I will look at the link you sent me thank you

The monitor gives different readings even after a few seconds, so think I need a better one

Do you have diabetes or are you prediabetic

These figures probably refer to your hba1c (which is a measure of your average blood sugar over the last 3 months). A normal blood sugar reading goes between 4-8 mmol/L (or 72-155 mg/dL if you are in the US but am assuming you are UK based).

If you are funding your own meter then the most important thing is the cost of the strips. I'll tag @Rachox who seems to be the go to person on strip advice.

Home Health have recently bought out the Gluco Navii, but I haven’t heard any reviews yet, links to strips and the meter:
