"A new you in 42"

Fantastic sanguine!
We shall be expecting great things!...

So here's the new Sanguine home gym (used to be my office until I moved that to a log cabin down the garden).

Equipment includes:

Rowing machine
Reebok Step (handy also for placing cold beer (sorry water) next to rower)
Did someone mention cold beer? Where?

Not doing too well with the challenge at the moment. It might take me a few days to get back on track.

OOO that looks a good one sanguine, what make is it and how much was it please?

Hi lunarlinda, it's a Concept 2 which I think is the one you get in many gyms. My third day on here it was recommended to me by @Joe Sweatthang on the basis of go for a good one that hopefully will never need replacing except long term perhaps.

Not cheap at £860 (Model D), but I got mine from www.powerhouse-fitness.co.uk who have a finance facility where you can set your own deposit and repayment period up to 48 months.

My wife and daughter will also be using it so a good investment I hope.

thank you very much for that info sanguine. Yes, I believe I saw the recommendation of the concept 2, but couldn't afford one. Trouble is, you need to get a good model, cheap ones are no good. Same as a treadmill, I'd like one of those but some look like they'd break after a couple of goes. xx

hehe , struggling up reigate hill is a far cry from doing 100 mile stages across the Alps id love too but..... getting fit enough for boxhill in july is enough for now

Respect there Andy - I got tired just driving up one of the TDF hills in France last year!

Oh Pipp you have just made my day. You are fab. Isn't it amazing how people have risen to this and achieving so much

25 minutes so far on exercise bike. Might get walk in later if it stays fair otherwise I'll get back on bike. Tbh I think restraining myself from murdering the pensioners that kept stopping dead in front of me in Aldi must be worth some time credit.

You are allowed a holiday zand. Hope you are having a good time.

A 45 minute walk at lunchtime was the minimum needed after a contretemps with the boss this morning. I could happily have walked all afternoon rather than go back to the office.

....walk it off julifriend, your adrenalin will have been pumping...at least Monday's over, always seems to be the longest day of the working week...my long walk at lunch hour probably wasn't so fast as yours!

Not too great today - I was mostly shackled to a computer
Had to make do with a couple of short walks with the dogs - mind you we did take a de-tour around the wood where I spent twenty minutes doing a 'ministry of silly walks' goose step as I tried to stomp my way through waist high bracken!

no walk as Mr E fixing guttering so I popped back on bike for another 10 minutes. Also been working the bingo wings hauling the three loads of wet washing out of washer that junior sent back from uni because he is too busy revising- i bet !

I did my hour walk to Lidl for 4 pints of milk and cycled my daughter to brownies today (15 mins each way). Going on stupid diabetes course tomorrow where I'll be sitting there whilst being lectured to eat more carbs despite how ill they make me feel. I'm not anti low GI for those it works for but it doesn't work for me! Feel grumpy just thinking about it. Don't want to do my marking either

Know just how you feel. My normal lovely boss is off ill long term and have psycho boss instead. Keep out of way!
