Err, yes. We do have fun, in addition to the serious side of the thread which was started by Ms Motivator, Jamrox, who challenged us all to accompany her on a quest to exercise at least 30 mins a day for 42 days. Somehow, it has evolved into a fun post for folks who are a bit barmy. We still exercise though, and come up with innovative ways to make sure we keep to the pledge of 30 mins exercise a day. You don't have to be barmy to participate. In fact we need some sensible folk to keep us on task. The wh
Maybe we should have some silly walks in as an acceptable exercise? Like John Cleese. We do have an exercise compliance officer (self appointed Andy12345, who I hope is feeling better today). That joined your post....I'm now confused and Ina Monty Python skit!

Oh wait a minute, apparently all my walking looks like I am doing a John Cleese impersonation.
This is sensible Pipp reporting.
Today I am mightily dischuffed that despite all the exercise and rigidly sticking to the Newcastle diet regime, I weigh exactly the same as I did last week.
I have been to the swimming pool this morning. Did 40 mins aquafit. (Tough going) followed by 10 mins gentle swim. Then 12 minute stroll round the supermarket.
Came home to a delicious brunch of Ultraslim vanilla shake. I threw caution to the wind and chucked a large spoonful of coffee granules in the shake. Like to live life to the max!

I don't know if Jamrox imagined what a monster she was creating, but I think she forgives us as long as there is no slacking on the exercise.
Respect. If I had to choose between gym or knicker shopping with ma in law it would be the knicker shopping every time.I spent 2 hours walking around M&S with ma in law so claiming that yesterday for the exercise. I couldn't keep up with her going around the knicker session.
Today I had a session at the gym. Cos my legs were knackered I begged for mercy and I ended up doing loads of balance moves. I am officially a fairy elephant.

Blood glucose has been normal for almost 3 years, but I still need to lose a lot of weight. Full rambling saga is on the thread about Newcastle diet. You must be putting on muscle then, which can only be good! Do you find shakes put your bs up, mine go nuts on them, sadly. Having dark berry purée on Greek yoghurt, total yum, and richer tasting than icecream, decidedly a diabetics slice of dietary heaven! Pipp, you are good to talk to, thanks for making me feel welcome![]()
Jamrox, that is absolutely BRILLIANT!
You're a hard act to follow and a fantastic example of what you can achieve when you set your mind to something.
Long hot soak in the bath in order?

Yay! I feel like a grown up - yesterday I went out for a cycle ride on my own for the first time since getting my road bike! I feel as though I should have a badge to sew onto my pants or something.![]()
While I'm waiting for the rowing machine (delivery Monday) I might have another go on the Reebok Step (basically an expensive plank on bricks) if it stays wet. If I can find the VHS that came with it I might set up an old VHS/TV combo in the same room. Mind you from what I remember of the video I'll probably just end up gazing at the screen with lolling tongue ...
Barmy Rocking Incoherently Laughing Loonies In A Nightie Together.
I am feeling so virtuous this morning! (10:30 a.m. ) I have gone for a thirty minute workout, walked the dog 3 km and mowed the back lawn. I would like you all to assume that the days I do not post I have been equally awesome.
14 minutes on exercise bike( then had panic attack so I guess that also counts as cardio workout), did some of Peacetrain's (?) touching kneesteps whilst watching Mr E potter round in workshop, then working on the principle that if your Granny wouldn't recognise it as housework, it probably isn't, I swept backstairs and passage by hand then washed down skirting boards in kitchen.
Found the video, good grief it's so dated in style! Big hair and muscles (and that's just the women), looks like a 70s porn film - allegedly. Also found a VHS copy of Talking Heads' "Stop Making Sense", now that's more like it![]()
