"A new you in 42"

I'm sorry about your cat too. I've always had cats, since my daughter was young but my last cat died about 7 years ago and, as my daughter had left home and I'm out all day, I never got another.

My daughter has 3 cats and would like more!! I find male cats are more affectionate but the goo on their noses brings be out in a rash.

Actually I would say I'm more of an organised chaos sort of person. I like order but I don't seem to be able to get the hang of putting paper into files. I'm organised when it comes to preparing for lessons, but the aftermath is another story!! I tend to plonk things and I never delegate to my support assistant. Result can be chaos. I remember one year team teaching every morning with the deputy head because we had a class of 38. She used to leave my room looking like the aftermath of a typhoon. I told her, "there's only room for one plonker here and that's me!"

I've just completed 4.12k in 40 minutes. My walks are getting later and later but I'm busy and I can't not do the walk. I missed yesterday because of a stressful day with a friend who was troubled.

Soon, my walks will be so late I may meet Zand on the way back! :-)

...I prefer walking as an exercise when the weather's hot, at least its outside with a bit of breeze...I would need to use a large upright fan hidden in the depths of chaos in the spare bedroom [spare bedroom? Its a junk room!] to do the skipping and bodyblade in comfort right now....swimming always sounds good Pipp, I can swim but not well and panic when my face gets in the water, so I always do backstroke lol....I'm glad none of you have ever seen me attempt the doggie paddle, my family always thought it was great entertainment as I just sink....

Having a break from Pilates for a couple of days. The title on the DVD cover says 'Beginners Pilates for low back pain', so I guess I have no reason to complain that I have low back pain?
Managed to get to the pool again. An hour of aquafit, followed by 10 mins stretching, flexing, and generallly floating along in a trance.

I tried some new moves today - as I have a frozen shoulder and sore elbow, I perhaps shouldn't be surprised that the pumping movement has made them worse, but I am... I'll have to do some gentle stretches in the bath later to remedy it. I wish I liked swimming.

Ooops! I hope that the shoulder and elbow pain are not due to my recommendation of Pilates. Oh wait a minute, I blame the duvet cover.

You don't need to get your face wet at aquafit though. Some people even keep their hair dry and neatly combed Of course I have to be different and get my face and hair soaked, because I stay in the deep water to avoid jarring my painful joints with the impact of the pool floor. Someone suggested I am just a show off, or starting a new form of exercise, underwater aquafit.
Seriously though, for anyone less mobile, or overweight if they can exercise in water it is so beneficial, and the water makes you feel weightless. Prevents damage to joints.

...its cooled down quite a bit today in the end, so did some twistboard when I got home, also just over 30 minutes walking at lunchtime...really should have done it before now, have discovered a couple of places since I've been out walking that I never knew existed and have lived in this town for years...

...Sorry Pipp, meant to mention what you said about aquafit....I know water exercises have always been seen as good for exercising the whole body, I just don't feel its for me though...you obviously enjoy it though, I'll just have to bang on with the dry land ones!

3.5k in 35 minutes

I cut it short because we had sports day this afternoon. I've been up and down the playing field a few times!

Not been feeling too good this last couple of days. I don't know if it's because they've been stressful and my bg has been raised as far as very high sixes and I have been eating less than 50g carbs. I'm wondering if the strange feeling in my tummy, higher area is because of that or the strange feeling is causing the high bg. I think it's the former.
I'll see how the days ahead go.
