Very tired and hopeless.
I've done everything.
I can't do anymore.
Called Dr and drug store.
Their ideas my body doesn't respond to.
I'm so tired.
What else can I do.
Diabetes is going to kill me.
I don't want it to.

Increase the insulin
Which I have as instructed
I use the highest ozempic dose
I do my best with my food
I do the exercise I can with pain
(with using a pain med)
Plus other meds I tried that gave me intolerable side effects 1 dangerous and 1 sent me to er and 1 kept me In the house
Plus weight loss
I m not getting enuf sleep from side effects and the bs goes up to the high teens during the night causing many bathroom trips
I'm very sleepy and have to try to get some sleep during the day
I have no life.

So I'm off to bed early to see about getting some zzz with sky high bs. I took some trurapi to see if it will come down a bit and now my legs are cramping.
Looks like no zzz again

Have you been trained to calculate the dose of your insulin or do you just take a fixed dose?
It maybe that you are not taking enough.
I would not worry about how much insulin other people take - the right amount is the amount we need for ourselves.

Bringing your BG down will help with your mood. I know it is not easy but if you have not be trained to use the tools you have been given (e.g. insulin), it is like being given a drill with the wrong sized bit.

Do the doctors know how much you're (not) eating?

This is the first thing for you and them to solve. Nothing will be working as it should if your body is going haywire due to starvation.

Yes and my ratio is 3. 3 units per 1 carb gram.

There's nothing they can do if I told them. I have barely enough funds for my one meal.
It's obviously easier to hand out meds ( insurance) instead of adequate incomes.

So today I'm supposed to call the pharmacist again. I will but I'm not really sure why. As I'm not getting any better numbers increasing the toujeo. It's the only basal on my insurance. I mean glargine is which is toujeo.
I was using basaglar but I can't push the very tight plunger.
And I did the Lantus already.
So I don't see where the basals going.
For the trurapi I have adjusted my ratio to no avail.
Do I just keep increasing these and keep gaining weight?
Yes you can gain weight on insulin on very little food. Insulin is a fat storage hormone.

What's super annoying too is that before they got me to try basaglar, I was using 160 units of toujeo (glargine) with no response. Why are we doing this?
What do they expect to happen?
I'm on 82units now and climbing.
I feel stupid doing this.

So the suggestion now from the drug store pharmacist is to increase the toujeo by 2 units every four days til I get to 7.
While I appreciate the time he took I already knew this.
So it looks like I'm no where as usual.
Very very depressing.
:(

Can anyone tell me why we are doing the same thing over and over and over again and expecting different results?
Well tbh I'm not sure I'm doing this.

Why have your doses been reduced so much?
You only take half the amount you used to.
If I was to take only half of my usual dose I would expect to see high numbers all the time as well.

The best way I can explain it is that my insurance cut out Lantus.
So my dr put me on the replacement automatically without asking me. Then it turned out that I just can't push the basaglar plunger (the replacement). So I asked if there was anything else covered and they said toujeo still was. I then said I was on 160.
But they didn't listen so began me at 25! So since then I've been increasing now at 82. Still no response.
