Absolutely tired and hopeless

It depends on the food sales.
So it can vary from week to week.
With a total monthly amount of $60 left for food it's not alot.
It isn't a lot. But it is possible to achieve caloric sufficiency on that amount, which in my opinion should be your first priority.

I've calculated buying a healthy diet. The calories come out inadequate.
But for less of course I can get potato chips for way less and get the minimum calories recommended.
Just buying 15 chicken breasts to have half a day for 30 days won't cut it.
But that's appropriately what I have to spend.
Ground beef is cheaper but I'd like some off toilet time!!
Same with pork and fish.
But anyway I probably said all that.

Perhaps you need to be prepared to expand the boundaries of what you think is a healthy diet. I could reach caloric sufficiency on less than a £1 per-day, and I imagine you need far less than me.

I'm not really sure how to rethink this.
In my understanding of a good diet protein should come first then vegetables then grains/fruits. But for diabetes maybe skip the fruits and grains.
So u could go for the legumes and plant milks instead of animals and their products.
But then it's much higher carb.
I'm not really sure how to expand the boundaries. This already cuts out most processed foods.

I certainly couldn’t and definitely wouldn’t have much control of my blood glucose should I try it. But then I‘m fairly sure we disagree on what’s healthy. I’m assuming a fair amount of starches, grains and legumes (that spike me) would feature for you, I may be wrong

Whereas I believe @cdpm is thinking on the same lines as me, but I’d make sure there were natural fats in there too, often alongside the protein by buying fattier meats (often these are cheaper too) and having full fat dairy along with nuts and seeds (which I know aren’t suitable for cdpm)

Yes if I could I would eat 20 to 50 grams of carbs a day.
100 grams of protein and the rest fat.
Many of my circumstances just don't allow this.
But I have not given up on this. I daily brainstorm on how I can.

Just to support what @HSSS has already said.. I've been really surprised at how much cheaper the higher fat ground beef portions are (here in the UK anyway) and things like non-brand butter, and even lard.

People will feel differently about products derived from animals or plants, but extremes are usually not helpful, and you have to consider that for you, every portion of food with anything you can absorb quickly as sugar (starches and sugars) will require insulin to deal with, and leave you feeling hungrier in the end. I've been shocked myself at the effect cutting out sugars and starches have ... and how much fuller I feel (and how much less amounts of food and calories are important).

Good luck to you though, whatever you try.

There's always nut butters .
I like peanut butter.

One thing I have trouble with in shopping is how to plan out and buy more than the one food for meals. That's one reason I eat mono meals like just the one thing usually.
Like ricotta cheese or cottage cheese or just a soup. It's easier thinking in terms of buying one thing for each meal.
Meal planning is easy but how to get each thing is hard.
I suck at math. So it looks easier to say well I have x number of dollars so I will buy one item for that amount and that will be the meal.
Did I explain this right?

I've concluded that there is no use in food advice. I don't get to have proper food for diabetes control. So I'm giving up on that.
Otherwise it's too distressing. Knowing and thinking about how each thing puts up my bs regardless of meds or amounts of meds or anything else I try.
It's just what ive been handed in life. My heads getting sore from constantly banging it against a wall.

Pretty depressing having to eat food bad for my mouth and bad for my health issues ( diabetes, high BP, kidney stones, cholesterol, and digestive bowel issues
It isn't even worth eating.

Have you been trained to calculate the dose of your insulin or do you just take a fixed dose?
It maybe that you are not taking enough.
I would not worry about how much insulin other people take - the right amount is the amount we need for ourselves.

Bringing your BG down will help with your mood. I know it is not easy but if you have not be trained to use the tools you have been given (e.g. insulin), it is like being given a drill with the wrong sized bit.
I figured out the rapid insulin adjustments myself by reading and studying how. Because 1 dose for every meal was not right. Either too much or too little. Then when I finally got an endo dr he asks how much I'm using and when I explained i was using a ratio he said just one number I only want
one number. So I just say the highest of my range. Like if I'm been using say 20 to 30 a meal I will just say 30.

I will control this disease. Even if it kills me. With diet.
Because you know what?
It's going to kill me anyway.
I have to stand up to it.

So I went to my 2 health care apps. today that I mentioned previously.
One was a nurse. She explained why my a1c doesn't match my high home numbers. It's because my numbers aren't staying at the 12 to 16s. If they were my a1c would be much higher than the 7.1. And she said the teaching of lose weight you will help your diabetes is old school thinking now. She said this when I told her how my 60 pound weight loss did nothing to help my diabetes. She didnt have any food recommendations just to come back in Nov.
My 2nd health care appt. was with a diabetes counselor. She recommended seeing a Dr about my bowel issues (the fact that most foods send Me right to the toilet ). And she wants to refer me to eating disorder help. As I have a history with eating disorders. I'm not sure if I will agree with that as I will need nearly 7 bucks every appt. (The only reason I got to do the 2 today is they were in the same clinic and I have just moved down the street from it so I walked but when it's icy out I won't be going).
So we're my 2 appts. fruitful?
Maybe idk.

So I'm unclear on something about my counselor (social worker) appt. She wants me to get Ed help because of it coming back. Which I know will involve trying to get me to eat more than the once a day. But if a person hasn't the funding to buy more all the counseling in the world won't help. So she either didn't hear me or ignored the financial part of our session. She did offer to fill a form out for a bit more finances but I already had that done there a few years ago. It's just not written down for them to see they already did that form for me.
So how will Ed help help me?

I would take it from this that she at least partly heard you re finance, otherwise she wouldn't have suggested filling in the form.

As it was a few years ago you filled it in, I'd get them to do it again. Things might have changed and you might get more financial help. Even if you don't get extra cash, it shows you're willing to work with them, and you can show it to the counsellor if you go down that route.

I post today with even worst news and am asking for suggestions. Not on how to get more funds but how to stretch what I have in a way I understand too.
Went to a health care specialist today and to continue I must take half of my food funds to do this.
No tips please on where to get more funds I've exhausted everywhere and there are no advocates . For this.

So my question is---
What is the most important food or type of food to buy?
Considering the following ---
No teeth high blood pressure high blood sugar
many food intolerances
1 trip to 1 food store twice a month 1 to 2 dollars a day
for that most important nutrient
I know its a hard question to answer but please try
