I would be panicking if my doctor told me to only take half of my dose, this doesn't sound right at all.I then said I was on 160.
But they didn't listen so began me at 25! So since then I've been increasing now at 82.
I have 2 appointments next month after my August move. Health Care ones. It's possible they can refer me somewhere. And if they don't hear me I will make another appointment and bring a family member. I won't bring them to start with due to the embarrassment and blame from them . They believe that type 2 is your own fault.@cdpm , many of our members are trying to be supportive with suggestions to the problems you mention. You have multiple barriers to managing. It seems you could do with an advocate to assist you. Your profile mentions you are in Canada. Are you aware of the agencies that can help you?
Could you self refer to any of the agencies listed in the information I provided?I have 2 appointments next month after my August move. Health Care ones. It's possible they can refer me somewhere. I looked over the document you sent.Could you self refer to any of the agencies listed in the information I provided?
It looks as though there could be assistance available. You certainly do not need to have ‘support’ from a family member who , by blaming you, is not supportive at all.
The dose was started at 25 on the toujeo but I did not reduce it. I already knew that was too low for me. But no one listened. So I just did my own amount. Cautiously.I understand that it's none of my business and the question was about diabetes, but have you tried looking for a job on freelance exchanges? usually, it is not very difficult to earn $7 for transport, at least copywriting or filling in content is usually obtained by everyone.
Do you have a forest near your house? At least mushrooms, berries, and herbs can be collected there. As a person whose childhood was hungry enough, I can share a recipe for nettle soup, but I doubt that you will eat something like that. You can also buy seeds and grow vegetables on the windowsill (or not buy, but ask friends who have a vegetable garden)
I have no idea how Canadian law works, but I hope all of the above is legal
You probably already know that, but maybe it will help.
I have a different type of diabetes, but judging by the fact that you are alive after your dose was reduced from 160 to 25, your pancreas is not bad.
If you don't tell them, they're diagnosing and prescribing 'blind'. It's not fair to expect them to help you properly, if you aren't giving them the full information. More than that, it could be dangerous. There's nothing they can do if I told them. I have barely enough funds for my one meal.
It's obviously easier to hand out meds ( insurance) instead of adequate incomes.
It depends on the food sales. If you don't tell them, they're diagnosing and prescribing 'blind'. It's not fair to expect them to help you properly, if you aren't giving them the full information. More than that, it could be dangerous.
I suspect that at the level of energy consumption you're at, cortisol might be the prime driver of your BG problems. If your doctors don't get the full picture, how can they asess Your insulin needs?
I'm not having a go at you.
Can I ask how much you can spend per week on food shopping? No obligation to answer, of course.
