There are a few places other than food banks but if you don't live close to walk to them you are just out of luck. I've called them. Are foodbanks not free in Canada? Or if foodbanks are no good, somewhere people can get help with food?
Indoor exercise bike. The bike sounds great. Exercise bike or outside bike?
I'm on a premixed insulin.I'm sorry I can't remember if you said you counted your carbs for meals or not @cdpm What insulin are you on - basal/ bolus regime or mixed insulin?
I've tried everything under the sun.I understand your fear of hypo's, as they're not nice, but if you're monitoring your levels with a libre sensor, have you considered only having sugar when Libre shows you're maybe around 6, and you have a downward trend, so you're not just adding empty carbs that may be unnecessary.
Maybe you could use the strawberry jam and the candy for hypos?Today the Xmas box came for the poor people. It had 2 bags of candy and 3 pks of cookies and 4 granola bars and crackers and trail mix and a very large jar of strawberry jam and 1 can of tuna and a scarf and some socks.
Thank youMaybe you could use the strawberry jam and the candy for hypos?
And the can of tuna is useful....
As for the socks, they may be boring but they are always useful (in my household anyway. My daughter and I always find each other interesting socks for Xmas,)
I'm so pleased that you are enjoying your exercise bike.
Yes I have a magic bullet and a food processor and a blender.I think broth does have some calories, but most of the googling I do suggests it can be used to lose weight...
Do you have any sort of kitchen blender or liquidiser that you could use to liquidise normal food that you cook?
As for grape juice, the only low carb version that I know of is wine....
