Advice on fasting blood test please

Hi was wondering if any of you can answer a quick question.. I'm due to have a blood test tomorrow morning and it's a fasting one. . I'm I allowed a drink when I wake up or can you not have anything? Thanx in advance xx
 
You are ok to have water.
 
What they ^^^ said! The more the better, to plump your veins up for easy access.
 
I was told I could have black tea before a fasting blood test but I don’t know about black coffee.
Sorry, I didn’t ask because I don’t drink it.
 
Keep yourself warm too before your test, makes it easier for them to locate a vein :)

@Samkirk When I have a fasting blood tests, it's water only in the morning.

Drinking tea, coffee, etc will skew the tests and give incorrect results, so you will have to redo the fasting test on another day.
