I take my iPhone most places including when I run - not everywhere and that records steps, distance etc. I use the iPhone health app for that and put my weight in the app . I'm doing 'couch to 5k ' at the moment which is a running programme which I never thought I'd manage but I've nearly finished now. I'm already booked in for a 5k run in September. I use my fitness pal to record all my food so I know what spikes me I think. But I think I may be similar to you in that I need to be skinny to beat this thing and that may take some time. Hey ho

I'm actually fine and I'm going to see this thing through for the 8 weeks whatever. I did lose a lot of weight in the first week and I'm nearly at normal BMI now so it'll be worth it just for that anyway even if my bgls don't get much better than they are now . I was already on a very low carb diet before this adventure and my bgls were higher than they are now . We are all different and I think I need to lose a lot more weight so I'll carry on steadily with this til the 8 weeks are up then back to Lchf then my holiday then I'll try for 600cals in late September for a month. Then I'll see where I am then and reassess( which may include the lovely world of metformin by that stage: hey ho)

Have you had a lot of stress in your life? Tummy fat can be caused by cortisol. If yours is stress related then over dieting and/or over exercising will be doing you more harm then good. I have learnt this to my cost. I have recently been told that I have adrenal fatigue. Adding more stress to my body through strict diets just made my tummy fatter. Doing low cal diets can feel so good because we are taking control, but we need to work with our bodies not against them.I am a hyper Apple shape . People give up seats for me on the tube coz they think I'm pregnant which means I must look nearly 9 months gone considering how inconsiderate us Londoners can be. So I think I need to get rid of my belly fat. Which is a long way from where I am now but I will get there
