all is not well

CT scan just done. All went well. Xxx

That's a massive step in the right direction. SO many pulmonary diagnoses are made on X-rays, which is very sub-optimal for lungs. Great for showing pneumonia, but not too much else.
Happy you've got that done now Lucy. Keep on keeping on!

Good luck Lucy.
Its always so easy to think the worst. I too have been in a similar situation. Not sleeping at night because constantly worrying. But after further tests it ended up being nothing.

So, try not to worry too much (easier said than done).

I sent it funny fea ring something can be sometimes worse that what we feared. If that makes sense
Good luck for the next stage.

I have no words of comfort to offer. Just a virtual hug.
Sorry you have had that news, Lucy. Let’s hope you get some decent help and support tomorrow from the team caring for you.

I have cancer in my left kidney. Tomorrow I should find out if it has spread to my lungs. I'm scared but also relieved that I know.xxxx
I am very sorry to hear this.
Hug
very much hoping that it hasn’t spread.

A family member had a cancerous tumour in his kidney over 5 years ago.
They operated, and monitored.
he stayed clear for 5 years, then last winter, it came back.
This time, they removed the kidney.
he took a while to convalesce, but now feels good again.

I’m telling you this because at the moment, the worry is probably outweighing the hope.
But hope is possible. Please don’t despair.

So sorry to hear this news Lucy, it’s not what you wanted to hear but at least you are now getting answers and your feelings of being scared mixed with relief are completely normal and expected. What you do have is bucketful’s of hope, love, prayers and support behind you. I think I speak for everyone here on the forum when I say we are here for you whatever you want to talk about. Sending much love to you and your loved ones x

Well, @lucylocket61 , that's pretty rubbish news, but I would urge you to look on it as answers to the questions you have been asking for a while now. Knowledge is power.

Time to rest up and marshal your energies for whatever lies ahead.

You might be in the internet, but you also have a place in our hearts. We're here for you Lucy. You know there's usually someone around on forum if you want to talk. Time for us to support you.

It can seem so overwhelming whilst waiting for all test results and then a discussion with oncologist. Be kind to yourself, and take it a day at a time. I am so sorry you are having to go through this. X

Oh Lucy not what you wanted to hear. But better to know if it’s there than not know. Now they can focus on treating you. I’ve got everything crossed that’s the end of the bad news and everything from this point on gives you hope and relief from symptoms. For sure keep posting on here whenever you need us. I too have a close friend who had a surgery and has recovered extremely well and didn’t lose the whole kidney either.
