In UK, this would usually be determined by an HbA1c test result of between 42 and 47. In pregnancy, where a glucose tolerance test is used, the parameters differ. For that the 2 hour test would be between 7.8 and 11 I believe.

What makes you feel you may be living with pre-diabetes?

And different parts of the world use different definitions.
eg in the US you'd be prediabetic with an hba1c of 5.7% to 6.4% (39mmol/mol to 47mmol/mol) , in Australia you need an hbC of 6% or 42mmol/mol and in New Zealand (where I currently live) it's 41 mmol/mol or above.

That's ignoring the different diagnoses from fasting blood sugars....

I personally don't think there is a standard definition for this. In my opinion it's just a test to detect that you are at increased risk of developing T2...

A few years ago my doctor said my "sugar was a little high" so I did a bit of googling and from my results, it seemed I was prediabetic. I lost weight and overhauled my diet and was fine. At the weekend I felt very dizzy so thought I'd check my blood and it was 6.6 which set alarm bells ringing but then I got to wondering that maybe it was just high at that point and wasn't always if that makes sense? I have checked 2 hours post meals and it's been at the high end but still in range. I'd be really grateful for any advice as I live in Spain and though I pay for private health care my doc is a bit behind the times!

I would suggest yo have an HbA1c test done, to indicate where your blood sugars have been running over the last 2-3 weeks. From there you can formulate a plan.
If you carry any excess weight, then trimming up a bit would likely help, whether prediabetic or not.

If you do transpire to be pre-diabetic, then the essence of your required actions would be a review of your diet and if you can exercise. By exercise that can just be doing a few extra steps a day, and keeping moving.

Thanks a lot. I'm due a blood test anyway so I'll mention it then.
