You ain't gunna get a pump with an attitude like that lol! Message me il help ya :)

Humm Hey @Dashing. Think you need to work on the basics before getting a pump!

What insulin are you on what are your bloods like and do you see a consultant?

i don't see a consultant my sugars can be 15 but atm they range from 8-13 and i don't even know what insulin i'm on i think its lantus and levimr :P

You need to be under a consultant and work with him or her plus the dsn. You also need to carb count, understand how different food affect you and your blood sugars show that you understand how to adjust your insulin and also corrections.
So if you are under your GP surgery then ask for a referral so you can be helped to sort yourself out, keep records of blood sugars food intake etc so that you have a good overall picture of what's going on.
From what you have posted so far you haven't a cats chance in hell of getting a pump due to the fact you are making no effort to control your diabetes. Pumps take a lot of commitment and are very expensive thus you have to prove you can and will do the work involved. I would suspect if you started today you could if you were lucky get a pump in about a years time. Good luck :)

Yeah your attitude on it needs to improve first aha! You should be on rapid too?

@dashing

If you can't make the effort with injections, then why do you want a pump?
Do you think it makes D easier? Wrong.. You have to work with you hospital team to set up your basals, your ratio's etc and then YOU have to manage them yourselves pretty much by yourself. If you can't pht the effort in with injections, why do you think a pump would be any different.

Most patients have to jump through hoops to get a pump.. Really toe the line and do everything they can to control themselves on injections...why should you jump ahead of people that try so desperately hard?

You're probably thinking I'm a harsh sounding moo... But I hope just to get you to realise that there are people before you in the queue for a pump making huge efforts and that you really need to realise that pumps are more time consuming and needing commitment than jabs.

Exactly I have had to go through DKA 3 or 4 times for them to even consider me to have a pump....not self conflicted!

i do try my best but i don't see specialist or anything anymore they stopped sending me letters i had to basically go down there the otherday just so i could get a keytones machine as i've never had one :x

And persons at my hospital with DKA admittance won't even be considered for a pump!! Nicola was lucky not to be registerd with my hosp!

You should ask for a referral through your gp, as everyone has said you won't get a pump unless you start to get to grips with carb counting and showing some commitment, the following should be helpful as it's an on-line version of the DAFNE course:
