I haven't worked out how to tag via my phone but in reply to Rachox
Firstly I Googled then found my way here, I decided that as years of low cal and low fat diets had only worked in the short term and realising I had been dependent on carbs and fruits, I decided low carb and healthy fats were worth a try. I went through the kitchen like a woman possesed and gave away anything that didn't fit. I did have porridge every day to start with but once I got my meter and saw a rise of 5 after 2 hours then that went. I followed the diet doctor 2 week challenge which has helped portion size, if I feel the need to snack then first I drink water then if half an hour later I still want something then I do, I cook 'normal' food for my son (grown up but with aspergers so still at home) but accept that for now my food is different. I have tried fasting but at the moment it sends my bg ridiculously high so maybe that will help once I've lost some more weight (got a set of scales both for the kitchen and the bathroom! Lost 2 kg last week without trying) haven't felt hungry. I wouldn't be without my meter as it both informs my choices and reassures my decisions!
I'm new to this but if there is anything I can help you with just ask x
