Another day of testing, adjusting watching what I eat etc, all starting to get a but tedious now! Struggling for motivation.

Chin up mate. You've every right to feel ****** now and then. Things could be so much worse though mate. We have to choose carefully what to eat, some people don't even get that luxury !
Hope you feel better soon.

I know that feeling today!

Woke up at half 7, tested and had 13.7 mmol/l ! I downed a pint of water and decided I wasn't dealing with it today and went back to bed.

Thankfully I was 6.1 at midday with no need for a correction dose. Still frustrating that I now have to sit and work out WHY I was so high in the foray place!

It is hard. You sound as though you have a regime in place, can you remember what was it like before you did? I can remember what I was like before I started to take control. I would prefer to eat and live as I did back then, but feel as I do now. I think it's called being normal! The motivation for me is I don't want to be the way I was.

Hi brett sometimes I think I've had 24 years of this diabetes lark and will be doing exactly the same in the next 24 years  , then I think I really hope I can still be here in 24 years, with no more medical conditions that erm keep popping up :x I want to live, not just exist, but out of the two, I would choose the first one tenfold.

Chin up and take care

All the best RRB

Hey Brett I totally hear you. Im sick of testing my sugars bored of carb counting and totally fed up with being diabetic. I think im in the denial stage hoping they got it all wrong but sadly I know its not true :(

You may think I'm insane and you may be right but I once looked on youtube during one of the bad days for inspiration and found a video that was for college students in America it has nothing whatsoever to do with diabetes of health or diet, it has reference to slavery etc and I am pure honkey but I find it soooo inspiraring, there's a moment where the speaker says "go through it" which gives me strength, as I say I'm bananas but have a look, nothing to lose :)

This is one of my most favourite inspirational speakers - put's life into perspective:

It does become second nature - so just think how your life could be if you couldnt take insulin, we are fortunate to live in an age where we have access to so many tools to help us.
