Any music heads on here

I'll listen to most things. I grew up in the 1980's so I like a lot from that decade. I love Florence and the Machine and have seen her twice live on her UK tours. George Ezra, The Lumineers, Lana del Ray, Paloma Faith. It also depends on my mood and how I'm feeling.

I was a teenager in the 70's and thought it was a great time to be around

Music was so bizarre with glam rock, heavy metal, punk rock, soul, disco, northern soul, syntho-pop, reggae, ska and pop etc
From Abba to Queen to the Sex Pistols, the 70's had it all, the end of the Beatles era and the beginning for so many other music styles

If its good I will dance to owt, I loved the 80's too

Currently moved onto Tight Fit, The Lion Sleeps Tonight.

Favourite at the moment though is Wand'rin Star, Lee Marvin (Paint Your Wagon), but its normally the wrong decade for me.

I must be getting old as I think the new James Bond theme sung by Sam Smith is a dirge yet I am sure it has hit number 1

Na, they just started putting my music on there, rather than my Dad's.

And I have memories of him and me going to school (for me obviously) listening to Wogan.
Still cheered me up if I'm in the car on Sunday, listening to Wogan.
Haven't heard him for a while now.

Just looked at the podcasts on the radio website.

Used to listen to Wogan in radio 2 in the seventies when getting ready for school lol my parents had it on

Medium wave, radio 2, in the car, thinking, 'Put Radio 1 on'

Haven't thought about that for a while.
But then again, I just thought I can listen in tomorrow, admittedly not in the car, but I can get the stream off the internet.

Apart from tomorrow apparently. :(

Ah well, next week maybe.

Born in the summer of love :)

So grew up in the late 70s , early 80s so had some good stuff, Punk, my first single was at the edge by stiff little fingers first LP was the great rock n roll swindle :) , two tone , Psychobilly, Oi (remember that)......

Ramones ,Dead Kennedys, etc not much into metal but Sabbath............

But as I got older moved on to metal ,,.

Got even older and into all sorts really got a load of folk , classical and real weird stuff on my comp/ipod/car.... even got some metal mongolian throat singing which is surprisingly very good :)

Play music all the time , currently really listening to a lot of folk/viking/ metal/rock, symphonic metal, nightwish being a favorite at the moment..............

Too hard to say who are my faves. I'm going to see Garbage, Nero and Judas Preist before xmas, then have Hosier, Marina and the Diamonds, Macklemore, Download and Glasto lined up for next year...

Nosher and I have very similar tastes, but I have more an eclectic taste in music at times, I do like to listen to other types of music, depending on my mood. My playlist starts with The Contours, Wilson Picket, Sade, Dee C Lee, Ravels Bolero, some SKA, The Stranglers (Golden Brown and Walk on by) Warren G and Sissel, UB40, Simply Red and many more, but motown was and is my first love, it's a legend.

I would call my taste mainstream eclectic, would never say there isn't a genre I don't like there's always that 1 track. When asked my standard line is I like everything from Mozart to Metallica (and my ipod can prove it), but I do have a huge love of Queen in particular, just wish I could have seen them at their prime with Freddie Mercury

My MP3 has Stereophonics, Linkin Park, Billy Idol, Europe, Guns and Roses, Whitesnake and then daft stuff like new Duran Duran, A-ha (yes I'm an 80's child). I often skip a track if I cant listen to it that day especially if I'm in the mood for some decent hard basslines and something silly like Duran Duran comes on

Some good choices here!
I like all sorts of music but rock & heavy metal is best. Bands like Metallica, Guns n Roses, Alice in Chains, Down, Pantera, Machine Head, Skindred.
Also love the older stuff like The Who, Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Queen, Thin Lizzy.. there's too many bands to mention
