Anyone from essex? Type 1??

I just feel like I can't eat a lot of stuff. I'm living on salads chicken tuna and veg but I don't always feel full afterwards. It's driving me mad lol xxx

I don't eat eggs, or mushrooms which are what my DSN keep telling me to have. I have low fat cheese now but miss my stodgy carbs and fatty foods lol xxx

Most of us on the LCHF eat full fats, this is how we beat hunger among other benefits. Is there a reason you're eating low fat products ?

No, I'm from Waltham abbey! Near epping forest. It's the edge of essex and London. Xxx
Just seen this. I'm not T1 and it's many years since we moved dahn sarf to Hampshire, but the first home that Mrs hay-char and I owned was in Waltham Abbey - Woollard Street, near the Town centre. We lived there for about five years, the house was a wreck when we bought it (it was all we could afford) and virtually the day after we finished doing it up, we put it on the market before it got all grotty again.

We were married in the Abbey: ah, fond memories, we loved living there ...... :)

Ah wow that's great! Small world eh!? I'm just off of honey lane if you remember it. Bet it's all different now from when you were last here. Xxx

Yes; I think it's changed a bit since we lived there; it's some years since we have even been back for a visit although we still keep in touch with our lovely neighbours from there. The main change we're aware of is that Woollard Street became pedestrianised soon after we moved out - we sold the bottom of our garden (for a fiver:)) to the council before we moved, for them to build a new access road. However, I'm also aware that there was a lot of building on what used to be the Explosives Research establishment on the Waltham Cross side of town so I'm sure it's all very different.

I remember Honey Lane: we still exchange Christmas cards with a friend who lives in Roundhills, though we've not seen her for many years .....

I don't know if this thread is still active but I'm a Type 1 living in Harlow. I was diagnosed in 1988 when I was 25. Now I avoid carbs and have lost most of my excess weight. LCHF is the way to go for Type 1s.
