Trudi Deakin's book, "Eat Fat" is basically a guide to eating to a lower carb lifestyle, and increasing fat intake to stop/prevent weight loss where and when appropriate. Many people adopting this way of eating lose weight, and some do so quickly.

The book is available from Trudi's website here: http://www.xperthealth.org.uk/shop/details/p/handbook-lowcarb-highfat-lifestyle

Trudie is a dietician. Good luck with whichever way you choose to go.

This is a great book...not so great for recipes...there are a few but they're quite uninspiring I found...but then I pretty much live on curry ;). It's definitely worth a look though...some interesting facts on where you could be going wrong.

I agree, it's not a recipe book, but then those are tricky due to carbs per day/carbs per meal. I must admit, I used Trudi's book as a bit of an aide memoire, as I was already doing well, but I wanted to support her and her efforts to shift diabetes education.

To be honest, if I'm looking for a recipe, or inspiration, I search google. If I wanted, say, low carb spare ribs (as coincidentally, I did a few days ago), I just google for the recipe and usually I find something. My slow cooker cooked spare ribs yesterday evening were utterly delicious.

I must admit, from the OP's post (difficulty losing weight), I focused on the technique, rather than the actual food.

The Australian Diabetes Council has put out Healthy Living with Diabetes which is not too bad. Available via Amazon
