In the last 2 weeks my bg levels have fluctuated between 4.1 and 6.8 . The lower ends being when chilling at the weekend with some red wine . The higher levels in the morning at work . I have to climb 6 flights of stairs to test . Now my question is are these good levels to main rain in the longer period or do I need to get the upper levels down a bit

You don't say when you tested in relation to when you ate which could change opinions but in general terms those levels are great and don't have much to do if you want to lower the top one.

I know I am sticking my neck out a bit but they don't look like diabetic levels at all.

@Peadair O Brionn If your morning test is really after climbing six flights of stairs I’m not surprised and think it could be even higher! Most of us do the morning test before even having a shower. In addition morning readings are usually the highest. Your bgs naturally prime for the day ahead. How about testing earlier to check if it’s the exercise. Also agree that 6.8 is nota very high reading for someone just a few months in as long as averages are coming down and you are managing your diet. Hope this helps.

If we do a morning fasting test at clinic, most likely we have done some walking and even climbing of stairs. So reading will be lower than we test right out of bed?

Sorry the higher levels are 2 to 3 hrs after breakfast while in work . My FBG levels are normally between 5.4 and 6.4 avg . Jumps about 1.3 overnight avg . Diet isLCHF and full of meat eggs cheese nuts . Quite enjoying it

I think you are doing great! I got my A1c down from the mid 50s to 32 and was thrilled. May you never go above 42 again. Well done, Sir.

Prob stress and exercise raising it temporarily from what you say - all sounds good - sounds like you are still doing all the right things re eating and it’s still early days and not that high. Keep going.....
