Are multivitamins a must for type 1?

Hi,
I've been advised that having a multivitamins -specially B12- is a must for type 1? Is it?

And should I make any tests or just start taking them ?

Hi @malek.elgazzar If your diet is varied then you shouldn't need to take mult vitamins, however if you've had a blood test and found to be deficient then of course, I have heard that taking metformin can cause a b12 deficiency but as many t1's don't take it then it's not relevant, however there is no proven evidence to suggest that taking vitamins will help with your type 1.
