I am registered as Roz 71 but it is my husband I am asking for. He has pre-diabetes and I want to know if Whitworths dried prunes and dates would be bad for him please?
One of the most useful things you can do to help him eat a sensible diet is to read the full nutritional information on food packaging. Anything with a high carbohydrate content is usually best avoided.

Dried fruit is usually high in carbs. Dates are particularly high in carbs. 30g of dates is approx 20g carbs - that is, about the same carbs as two digestive biscuits. Prunes are a little better - 30g is 10g carbs - that is, equivalent carbs to one digestive biscuit.
Hi. Yes, avoid the prunes. If the prunes are being taken for constipation, then best to look for other foods/products which contain fibre such as Fibregel or beans/pulses
