After lots of replies to my introductory post I am starting the carb cutting.
Up until yesterday my carbs for the day were 150+. With my first few tweeks I gave managed to drop to 98 yesterday and today. Today's would have been better but it was only after logging my tomato cup a soup I saw how high the carbs were. Note to self, no more cup a soups. I'm quite happy with myself to be honest. Lots more learning to do. I did make an amazing omelette yesterday .

Well done on your progress so far. It’s said a lot on here that gaining control of type 2 is a marathon not a sprint. I gradually reduced my carbs, initially on diagnosis I tried 100g/day. After a while I drop to 75g, then gradually dropped over the years. I currently eat mostly under thirty with the odd day in the 40s which keeps my HbA1c non diabetic with a comfortable margin for deteriorating numbers if ill or whatever.
