Thanks everyone. i should have given more info but was just thinking about the bagels. im 57 years young. T2 for 3 years. i take humalog and humulin insulin. im 5ft 1in. about 11 stone so overweight. im a housekeeper in a very busy hotel so spend 8 hours a day climbing 4 flights of stairs, and everything else a housekeeper does. I dont have any energy after work for exersise, to put it bluntly im ********, i wish i wasnt. Ive run half marathons, i used to enjoy exercise. I just want to loose a little but finding a balance is very hard as I need to keep up my energy level throughout the day. I am only allowed 2 15 minute breaks so no chance of anything to eat that takes time. I recently had my annual review HbA1c was 7. blood pressure good but my colesterol was 6. Doc wants to give me statins, i have to go and see him in the next few weeks. Ive been trying a bagel for breakfast but havnt tested cos having the time at work is difficult. I know im not so hungry later on in the day and no hypos. Ive tried the low carb menu but end up having hypos im just stuck. I explained to the dietitian when i had my review. all she could suggest was to try lowering my calorie intake. ???
