It's similar, but you don't have to scan the sensor as you do with the Feestyle Libre. Instead it continuously transmits data to the receiver. The main advantage is that you can have alarms if you are about to go low - this was my reason for buying it, I'd had a series of very unpleasant overnight hypos.Hi DunePlodder,
Yes I have had the Freestyle Libre system for 3 months now and, yes it is expensive but it has definately made me more aware.
What is the Dexcom please? Is that the same sort of thing?

Much more expensive than the Libre to set up. For me running costs are similar but only because I get around 3 weeks out of each sensor. They are only warranted for 1 week though.
