Basel testing

Morning everyone just after a quick sense check. I am doing a Basel test today targeting the afternoon section 12-6.

Had my breakfast this morning so just checking that is it for meals now until 6? Been a while since I have done one of these but if I recall the last meal should be 4 hours before?

Hi @Hattonma The test starts 5 hours after the last meal was eaten so as long as your breakfast was at 7am then the test would start from 12 - http://www.salforddiabetescare.co.uk/index2.php?nav_id=1007

Test every hour and repeat the test on 3 separate days

Quick question can you drink coffee with milk or should you abstain from that as well

Evening everyone. So after a few opinions. My Basel testing started at 9.7 and finished at 7.6 after 5 hours.

I will do another test but wondered what thoughts were on whether this would require an adjustment. I believe a drop of 2 is prob the limit?

@Hattonma . That doesn't seem a bad basal test.
What did the 5 hrs consist of?
Was the 5 hr period as normal as you would usually expect?

Thanks for the reply @therower. Yes it was a normal afternoon at work. Everything apart from eating lol.

@Hattonma . It seems a positive basal test. Take into consideration meter reading variances and being at work, the drop is easily explainable.
Personally I'd be happy with it. Like you I miss the eating food bit.
