BG levels

When I read post here and there, and BG levels are mentioned some people seem to be shocked and worried if the result is i.e. 6.5- 7.0 it seems a lot of people are only happy when they are between 4s and 5s it's like they are almost trying to get to nil. Im talking two hours after eating. I'm so happy when mine is in the 6-7. But maybe I shouldn't be. I'm pre diabetic. My Doctor seems to think mine is fine. I have never had a BG reading in the fours. But it seems that is what some people strives for. Do you think some people worry to much? I know diabetes is worrying but as long as you keep within the recommendations it will be fine or NOT? Am I being a bit-complacent? Maybe I should think again about my diet. I do eat LCHF keep to about 50-100
I would like to know what is the ideal BG for you two hours after eating? T2 or pre diabetic

I'm happy if I can stay under 7.8 after meals, as that seems to be the point above which complications are more likely. I'd be in heaven if I could get my fasting BG under 6, but it only happens rarely and mostly I keep hovering around the low 6's, which is exactly where I was when diagnosed. Going LCHF and losing 30 lbs hasn't made any difference to it. Great for the people who can get those kind of figures, but it's not realistic for some of us, especially if we want to stay medication-free, which is my major aim until I don't have any choice in the matter.

I have to stay within a rise of around a 2.0 rise, depending on what my before reading is. But If I was above 6.2 I wouldn't eat until my BSLs drops.
According to everything I've read, a BSL reading above three is fine. It all depends on your reading before eating. If you are getting a reading above your norm, go for a walk depending on your capability, this will bring it down a couple! I have tried it and it works.

Readings between 6 & 7 after eating are fine.

I never take before readings that's another thing I have learnt today. What do you mean when you say 2 rise?
