Yesterday I started testing properly after months and months of not checking my BG. Needless to say I was more than shocked and angry at myself for having let things slip so much
Before breakfast: 16.0 mmol.l
+ 2 hrs: 13.8 mmol.l
Before lunch: 9.7mmol.l
+ 2hrs: 11.8 mmol.l (had about 20mins brisk walk at lunchtime)
Before dinner: 8.4mmol.l
+2hrs: 8.9mmol.l (had a dance class before 2hrs were up. not high impact but still)
Before bed: 8.5mmol.l
Total carbs consumed yesterday: 80g
This morning before breakfast: 14.5mmol.l
I am trying hard not to go on a guilt trip as it would serve no purpose. What I want to know is....is it possible to bring readings like these down through low carbing. I know the GP nurse is going to give me a deservingly right telling off but I really want to stay off insulin so I need to know what to tell her.
thanks
Clay
