Hi, I am T2 and diagnosed at the end of April. I’m on Metformin and Gliclazide.
I have followed a low card diet for a couple of months and BG levels seem good and sit in a range between 5.3 and 7.4 90% of the time. This last week I have had a cold and just feel a bit rubbish and aches.
I have just taken a BG reading of 8.4 which surprised me as I ate breakfast 3 hrs ago which I had 3 heaped spoons of Skyr yogurt and a handful of strawberries and blueberries so a low card breakfast. Does having a cold affect your BG levels much?

Hi @ngood94323 and welcome to the forum. Sorry you’re not feeling well. Illness can indeed raise blood sugar levels not just food we eat. There are other things that can affect it too other than food. Stress, temperature, poor sleep and the colour of your shirt! Well not the last one! :joyful:
Hope you feel better soon.
