Hi rluscombe
I've read through this thread and am wondering what dietary advice you have been given. Is it the plenty of carbs and low fat guff?
I ask, because you use low fat spread and eat toast.
I suggest you try eaing little and often as has already been suggested and eat foods which are as nature made them ( nothing from the Chemistry lab )
So meat, poultry, fish, eggs, cheese. Leafy vegetables and salads, a little fruit, primarily berries
minimise bread, potatoes, rice, pasta and cereals. Cut out anything with sugars ( or any ~oses other than Splenda)
there's plenty there for a healthy life and delicious meals.
You seem to be taking masses of Gliclazide. If it's having no effect, could you have destroyed all the beta cells? this does happen to some people and then there's nothingg left but insulin.
Perhaps you might discuss your controll with your care team?
