my insulin is lantus and nova rapid 72 lantus and try to adjust the nova when i test
most of what i eat is governed by money i have as i am unemployed
i have had diabetes from 92
any hints or tips will help
thanks william

Do you carb count and adjust your bolus according to how many grams of carbs you eat?
Hi
no i have never carb counted
i think it may be some of the food i eat i have not tried to change much of the food
i do eat a lot of cereal for breakfast may be its to much
is carb counting a good way to go?
thanks william

Yes, you definitely need to carb count. It's impossible to get good control without carb counting.

Your fast acting/bolus insulin dose needs to be matched to the carbs in your meal. You may need advice and support doing that so speak to your DSN and ask for help.

Hi. Yes, you need to adjust the Bolus to the carbs in the meal. Your Lantus is quite a high dose which implies your weight may be quite high? If so, you need to reduce the carbs you eat. Breakfast cereals are generally not good.

Breakfast cereals are fine but need appropriate insulin and injection timings.

Carb counting should be the first thing you look at. It should help enormously.
