I have just had a blood test and was told the reading was 41. Previously it was 46. These figures don't seem to be on the lists given on the site, Can anyone explain?
Thanks
Bee
If it was a Hba1c:
I'm not really sure but I know a Hba1c is a average of blood sugar overall I think. (correct me if i'm wrong) I had mine today and it was 7.2 (which is an average of 10.00 so high but not as high as last time)
In the UK HbA1c has been measured in different units since sometime last year. It is now measured in mmol/mol. This gives readings from the 30's upwards. Some doctors still use the old measurement units, and those give readings as a percentage, 3's upwards.
Diabetes, cirrhosis, lymphoma, acronyms, green celery (because it's lazy), those computer programs that nag you night after night to download them and then, when you do, present reams of conditions and threats for you to accept before they'll run. DVDs that start with 5 minutes of threats - if I'd pirated it, then I'd surely leave those out.
