Blue Circle New Diabetes Symbol

I stumbled across the symbol only after reading the diabetic tattoo thread. Prior to that, never seen or heard of it before. I showed my family the symbol and they had no clue what it was supposed to represent. I have never seen it anywhere apart from this forum so it's not really "out there" in my opinion.

As it remains the property of the IDF, can they demand the removal of it when used as a tattoo? Could be painful...

Good point to raise up here - I asked myself this one .

It says you can use it for posters etc ! Don't see how anyone can "own" a blue circle lol ! I drew one once when I was a kid about 30 yrs ago ! Can I sue them lol !

Sad that even this International lot are going on about avoiding sugary foods and saturated fats and not talking about carbs in general. Is there any diabetes organisation that really understands the subject?

Great comment and reply
Soooo funny ...
Made me giggle 'lots'

Anna.

Isnt it strange that its supposed to have been established in 2006 and no one has any knowledge
or awareness about it . :?

There are the red and pink ribbons with aids and cancer so well known .
The yellow flower with Marie Curie too is well known of too .
The blue 'Diabetes circle - only a few heard of it - apart from cement !!!

Afraid that I am still very much baffled by this one :eh:

Anna.

Unfortunately for both cement and diabetes, a prior use claim has been posted by the blue ring octopus

It's stupid because the symbol is far too generic. It doesn't evoke any connotations of diabetes whatsoever. I know you don't want anything too obvious either but come on. Blue circle?how is anyone supposed to discern a meaning above any other geometric shape? Nonetheless I will try and design tattoos incorporating it if required
