I would like to know if anyone agrees to Bond wearing a 'semi'-skinny suit.

Now I think they look pretty awful even on the youth, but 35 upwards....nah.
I found it destracting, waiting for buttons to pop or a tear at the knees......not.
He jumps and fights and the suits are 2 sizes too small and it became more intruiging than the plot.

Bond is just far too sophisticated to be "'mutton dressed as lamb".
Nothing to beat a smart well cut & fitted suit that wears you well.

Any thoughts?

Who on earth is Bond? James Bond, perhaps?

Don't like Daniel Craig as Bond, my favourites were Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan. I thought Dalton played the character as I had imagined him when I read the books. And , IMHO, the Craig Bond films have not been 'Bond' films, they have merely been another action film. Sorry if I have upset some people, just how I feel!

   This thread is hilarious!

Bond and well cut suits just go together like  ... bacon and egg ... don't they? :D

I liked roger moore best as OO7.
Daniel Craig has nice ice blue eyes though. :)

Tight too small suits just remind me of Norman Wisdom - must be me age....

Tight jeans......now you're talking  OH met Pierce Brosnan on the set of his third outing as Bond, I said to OH "is he as good looking in real life" "yes" says OH " unfortunately ".

I get more excited looking at a juicy lamb chop than any Mr Bond these days.

I am on a mission to Gracek's for some lamb chops and a vodka martini, "shaken not stirred, ( I'm wearing my ready made suit).

Grace I just love your humour. :D

I can sit through any Bond while having the juicy lamb chop. Must confess didnt so much like Dalton & lazenby.
Craig has his rugged appeal, but he must wear his suits well cut. That to me is a Bond.

Funny thing is this new movie with its vintage scenes doesnt go at all with a skinny suit.
One cant help watching Bond. Its a must, a habit, automatic, a religion

Skinny suits make even the youth look top heavy, crinkly and looks borrowed. Why wear a suit.
Bond ....an emphatic NO!

I look forward to that Roy, but I take it that as I can't eat chocolate, that you'll be providing the lamb chops? Bond always comes bearing gifts for the Bond Lady. A bit of extra Ribeye wouldn't go amiss either.

Don't want the Bonds, the suits and as a veggie definitely not the lamb chops or rib eye steaks, but the Aston Martin........... :D

Nikkig, if you havent watched it, then you're in for a surprise with the Aston Martin.

As Grace said, this thread is funny

I did enjoy the latest Bond film, but yes, it was abit of an action movie - but aren't all Bond films. I think Roger Moore and Piers Brosnan were my favourites. When he was taxi driving my husband picked Roger Moore up from Amberley Chalk Pits (can't think which film it was but it's the one with Grace Jones) He did get an autograph for me which I put somewhere safe but twenty odd years on I've forgotten where it is

I am a bit of a veggie too,

I must admit the only meat I miss is Lamb Chops. and our Gracie (GraceK) keeps reminding me of those good old days with her mouth watering meals.

Hang on a minute, last night I made some tandoori veggie Burger,s with wedged potatoes. sweet-corns and Peas. My family thought there were great.

When plates are left clean you know you have done well.

Roy.

If you cant remember where you'd put something 20yrs ago, then you doing well.
This morning I was looking for my vitamins, while holding it in one hand.

Like Moore & Brosman too.

I have a Goldeneye t shirt signed by Pierce Brosnan which is in the back of my wardrobe. Which reminds me I have been going to get it framed since 1997......
