Well, I've just had my three-monthly mint Club biscuit after blood donation. That heinous crime probably equates to cruelty to chimneysweeps, blood sacrifices and feeding asbestos to babies all rolled into one. Blimmin gorgeous it was too.

You're very welcome. They didn't have a P-P-P-Penguin this time. Now I have the earworm. #If you like a lotta chocolate on your biscuit join our Club....#
Cheers for that
Next time, if I give lots and lots of chin tickles to He Who Must Be Obeyed (aka The Cat) will that save the kitten and make me love myself again? You realise of course as you were enjoying your lovely minty Club biscuit, God was killing a kitten? I'm not sure how you can live with yourself.
It made me wonder - if you've just lost a lot of blood, and you eat something which puts sugar in your bloodstream, I presume the impact will be noticeably worse?
Hilarious, I love this how right you are, yes we need some sense of humor amongst reality sometimes.how can you have a sandwich if you haven't got bread ;-D
What is better than wholemeal slice of bread with a good vintage cheese and glass of red vino? yes you can have cheese or other with crackers, or seed crackers, and still include the vino, but is it the same, no, cant explain why, its enjoyed the same, but there is just something about bread, that with certain other foods, there is no substitute.I have often wondered why we see so many threads about bread?
I gave it up and don't miss it but many people spend ages trying to find low carb bread (which must surely be an oxymoron).
So why do you think we need to eat it?
Habit, lack of imagination or does it fill another role (intentional pun) in our lives? I'm interested to have your thoughts.
I will definitely be making some of these for our trip to Austria on Monday. Been fretting for days about what I'm going to be able to sensibly eat without making life difficult! Thank you so much!

Why miss out on bread? This is my slightly adjusted recipe using grams not cups and adding a few tweaks. Had some for lunch today with mackerel pate very enjoyable too
