View attachment 26716 My contribution to the debate - Diet doctor keto rolls it’s taken a few goes and a bit of adjustment but they are delicious plus only 2g of carb per roll. Why miss out on bread? This is my slightly adjusted recipe using grams not cups and adding a few tweaks. Had some for lunch today with mackerel pate very enjoyable too
Ingredients
150g almond flour
20g psyllium husk
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3 egg whites
2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar
150mls boiling water
Seeds for topping
Method
Put oven on at 155fan or 175c or 350F
Line a large baking tray with baking parchment
Put kettle on and put 2 teaspoons the vinegar into measuring jug
Separate egg putting the whites into large bowl with the salt. ( keep yolks in fridge for some mayo or an omlette) use mixer to beat into soft peaks and put to one side
Put all remaining dry ingredients into another mixing bowl
Measure boiling water with vinegar to 150mls
Add the liquid to dry ingredients mixing slowly
Then add beaten egg whites until mixed to a play dough consistency - this only takes a minute or so
Divide mix into 6 rolls place on tray and scatter seeds on top if liked
Pop into bottom of oven for an hour and 10mins
Hope this helps anyone out there who is missing bread
