Sorry to hear you sad newsSorry for late reply. I had sad news yesterday after a friend died.
Yesrday went in a bit of a blur. The coffee must have done the trick as my bgs were low all day and I didn't feel hungry. Not the best day to report on but here goes day 2. Coffee all made and in thermos and had 2 mugs already. Nice buzz. But no spaced out on drugs feeling thank god. Have a good day everyone
As a coffeeholic I want it ! Where do I find the recipe please
Can't hack the strong coconut taste so I just have coffee, double cream and butter.
Thank you. Will give it a go
Use dedorised coconut oil, it's without coconut taste. Can't hack the strong coconut taste so I just have coffee, double cream and butter.
I find that coffee and double cream tastes much the same as that with added butter.
So if you like cream in your coffee adding butter just makes it even nicer
Pure coconut oil does not have any coconut smell or taste. Virgin coconut oil has the coconut smell and taste. Try the pure, it is also normaly much cheaper (Tesco £1.50 for 500ml)
I havnt tried bullet proof coffee yet, the thought of using coconut oil and butter when I'm still greatly over weight baffles me,
I love and adore coffee, and would love to include it, but feel it's too early in my new LCHF regime.
It sounds like it tastes Devine , if anyone wants to arrange a coffee morningcount me in
Yes, it is counter intuitive, but in general carbohydrates make you hungry and protein and fats make you feel full and kill appetite.
So things like bullet proof coffee first thing in the morning can stop you feeling hungry for much of the day.
You are taking in concentrated calories, but your total calorie intake for the day should go down.
Just keep muttering "fat good, carbs bad"
Oh, and guess what, the HF part of LCHF is High Fat - in other words bullet proof coffee!
Cheers

*grins * I know it's high fat, not high fructose lol , I think ... what I'm doing is or seems to be working , but I am failing to meet the calories, today it was 1032 cal, 42g carb, 51g fat , on a percentage of the daily intake my carbs were carbs 16% protein 47and fat 37% my sugars being high 5's or early 6's) according to my fitness pal app) . So my question is, would the healthy fats affect my weight loss ?
Please say no, I'm dying for a gorgeous cup of creamy coffee.
Unfortunatetly nuts can be highish in carbohydrates (at least when you're on a very low carb diet) - some more so than others, so it's worth checking, and watching how many you eat. I know at the moment I'm probably eating a few too many for my own good. Thanks Kezzer. I tried a lot of nuts last week but somehow it raised my readings. Not sure why. I love peanut butter though
Just to point out to newbies, that the headline 22g in the link is for total carbs and not net carbsUnfortunatetly nuts can be highish in carbohydrates (at least when you're on a very low carb diet) - some more so than others, so it's worth checking, and watching how many you eat.
