Bullet proof coffee

Ps any tips will be more than welcome.
I'd have your cold pressed olive oil at least 50 / 50 other fats..if you are at a tablespoon each of butter/coconut in bulletproof ... that's 2-3 tablespoons of olive with your breakfast/lunch..total 4-5 tablespoons of butter/coconut and olive...a good 450-550 cal energy

My version of bulletproof coffee is decaf with double cream and coconut oil. Doesn't give a buzz obviously, but it is very tasty and filling :)

Can't hack the strong coconut taste so I just have coffee, double cream and butter.
I find that coffee and double cream tastes much the same as that with added butter.
So if you like cream in your coffee adding butter just makes it even nicer :-)

Ok friends I'm going to do a week on this. As per @Brunnaria advice got really posh coffee to try and stop the spaced out feeling..so I've just made it and properly with butter and coconut oil and frothed it up and put it in a warmed thermos...I have to say no oily taste at all. Just creamy and lovely.
1 hour in. Bright energetic and no hunger! Will post as I go on..no greasy feeling this time in my tummy either.. I'm doing this as I really don't want to lose any more weight and I've tried upping protein but its turning into glucose and raised my readings. I'm on 45 g of carb. So trying to up fats a bit..too much cheese makes me nauseous so making brilliant green and rainbow salads and putting ceasar dressings and olive oil on...watch this space..I lost a further 2 lbs this week so really needed to stop it. No more carbs. No extra protein leaves fats. So extra adventurous ways will be interesting. Wish me luck? :(
Good luck @alliebee..x

Sorry for late reply. I had sad news yesterday after a friend died.
Yesrday went in a bit of a blur. The coffee must have done the trick as my bgs were low all day and I didn't feel hungry. Not the best day to report on but here goes day 2. Coffee all made and in thermos and had 2 mugs already. Nice buzz. But no spaced out on drugs feeling thank god. Have a good day everyone

Sorry about your friend Allie
I don't know what amounts of the coffee butter and coconut oil is used Bullet proof coffee...where does the name come from... but surely with that much fat in it you must get some on the top of the coffee I don't even like cream in my coffe but just have a dash of milk. Good luck with it Allie but sorry but I just could not face drinking that myself it just sounds awful

Had one problem with Bulletproof coffee:
Made up my large mug-full (Fresh ground, extra strong, coconut oil, cream)
sat down to enjoy,
phone rang, so answered
got back, pup had drank large mug of bulletproof!
result pup bouncing off walls all night!:woot::woot:
you don't need a coffee supercharged collie around!!

@Brunnaria has a link for the video
You actually can't taste any greasyness from it as its all frothed up.I was amazed..the main thing is it just makes your appetite vanish. It tastes just like cappuchino. You can just put a teasp of the butter and coconut oil in.

Just a thought do you make up the coffee with milk or water before you add the coconut oil and butter. My husband might like it

i don't drink coffee, but I made some fat bombs last night. Need some kinda boost.

Just try it. A stick blender is best because it mixes it so thoroughly. No, no oil slick at all. I have become addicted to it. Was just promising myself my butter coffee while I endured the exercise agony.

A milk frothing whizzer is less strong, but still works, though sometimes I have to drink half then whizz again for the second half.

Stop imagining it, and try it!
