Hi. I have been a type 1 for 10 years, diagnosed at 26. Recently a registrar thought it would be interesting to do my c peptide bloods as when I was diagnosed my blood test was negative to autoimmunity. So I chased it up today and they've said yes, I am producing some insulin, but they dont know if it's enough. So I've got to do a urine test 2 hours after eating, then they will know.
Has anyone been through this? I know you cant diagnose, but is it even possible that type 1s can still produce insulin?
They are not sure if I'm a type 2.
Thanks
