Hi ! I'm currently using novorapid insulin, And my problem is, one day, I have around 120 sugar at morning, I'm taking 7,5j for me meal, around 25 min before eating, and around 2 hours after, I have 190 sugar. ext day, I'm doing exactly this same thing, for sugar 106, and I have 260, but I didn't take that much insulin during the night.
I'm eating this same thing, in this same amount, and this same hours for past year, so I'm really confused by how different this sugars are .

How to calculate, how much insulin do I need to take ?

@TheMiziko If it was me, I'd do a basal test to make sure my basal insulin dose was correct.

I'd also make sure that I was counting the carbohydrates in the meal exactly right.

Does this only happen in the morning?

yes, it most often happends in the morning, and I count everything, my morning meal has 41g of carbohydrates. And the surprising fact is, about 2 weeks ago, I was taking 6j instead of 7,5 and I was stil sometimes fine, but next day, everything started to go wrong.

Could it be a growth spurt? Sometimes hormones can mess up blood sugars and make control harder.

i also have a turners syndrom, so my hormones might be messed up. But my doctor ignores all the problems in my hormone results, and said it doesn't have anything to do with my sugars

I'm not a medical professional but I understood that Turners Syndrome can cause hormonal problems. A relative has it and she's mentioned issues in the past.

Are you seeing a specialist for advice about any possible effects with the Turners? I wasn't sure if the doctor you mentioned was a general doctor or a diabetes specialist or a different specialist?

I don't know if that's anything to do with your blood sugars, but it's worth checking :)

Bot, my diabetes and turner's syndrom specialist are just bad doctors. We don't have many good doctors in Poland, that's why I'm not treated properly. Yes, and I have low level of estrogen. My doctor said he can't do anything about this, because incrasing my estrogen pills only will cause it to get lower, and it's caused by my diet, because I eat too small amounts of food. Is it possible ? that food can lower my estrogens and cause my sugar ot get hgiher ?

I couldn't answer whether your diet would affect your estrogen. I think for people who do not have Turners, the amount of fat on their body can affect estrogen but this might not be the same for you. I think low estrogen can be connected with Turners.

But food will affect your blood sugar for sure.

Could you maybe look for information about Turners Syndrome and hormones online? There may be forums that can help with your questions about hormones. You could then see what other woman do.

I know my female hormones can affect my blood sugar a lot so I wonder if it's the same for you.
