Hi all.
I'm a (relatively) newly diagnosed T1 (was diagnosed in Feb just gone). Immediately after my diagnosis, up until about April, I was fine with it. Like, even eager to keep on top of my BG and return to "normal" life (I ended up signed off work by my GP for two months) but recently I've found that I'm kinda in denial for want of a better word. I'll get really down and go days without testing, only eat salad and things so as to avoid taking my injections and basically (against my own better judgment) ignore the fact that I am diabetic. But then I go to the other extreme of driving myself insane researching all the ways diabetes can affect things like pregnancy and menopause and start worrying and stressing over potential complications. I don't know I'm just really getting myself down about it and I don't know any diabetics really, so I don't have a sounding board for my concerns. I'm newly married and my husband is great but can't really understand why I get so het up. Can anyone relate or does anyone have any advice how to get back to a better place with this condition?
Any help appreciated xx
