Wow! That sounds one heck of a stretch.
Just thinking about Type 1, an autoimmune disease in which the body decides it no longer likes the cells that produce insulin, I cannot see a way that yoga, mindfullness or reduced stress will allow the body to start creating and not killing these cells.
High stress increases BG so reducing stress helps to reduce BG. But that is not the same as curing diabetes.
That does not mean I do not believe in any value from yoga, etc. I once had a yoga teacher who had experienced a serious car accident. Whilst he was in hospital (for a number of weeks), he would imagine himself going through one of his yoga routines every day. Apparently, his recovery was much faster than the doctors expected. I would not be surprised if his yoga techniques of relaxation and controlled breathing aiding his healing.
