Anonymous question submitted:

I have had trouble with getting & maintaining an erection. I have had trouble for quite a few years now & my wife and me have managed to maintain our love life by trial & error, but she has always said it's not that important & seemed to be reasonably happy about the situation. Cut to the present. Since I have been diagnosed with T2, ( about 4 Months) I have had a great deal of trouble getting any feeling at all. It might be psychological, I don't know. My wife was lamenting the fact the other day about this problem and this is the first time she has expressed any negative feelings about this subject. It has made me feel sad for her because we had a rip roaring love life until about ten years ago. The main question is can I get Viagra on prescription, the cost is so prohibitive; it's more than a days pay to me and I can't afford it. With all the cuts going on I think the Health Authorities won't want to subsidize my "Hanky-Panky". Any help Appreciated. Sadly Anonymous

I'm pretty sure it's available on prescription; go to your GP and check. These problems are not unusual with male diabetics, so it's nothing new to your doctor!

I'm not sure whether the problem might improve if you can get good control of your blood sugars - one of the male members (no pun intended) may be able to answer that one.

Hi. I have viagra on prescription; it was offered by my Diabetic nurse without asking when I said I had some problems. You might also want to consider buying a penis ring over the web as it is another option.

Viagra should be available on prescription, but they limit the number of pills[ I think about 4 per month, but don't know for sure.]

Have you tried a handful of pumpkin seeds two hours before sex?

Also Bilberry is used an alternative treatment for t2 Diabetes, often referred to as the British Blueberry it is also effective in the treatment of Varicolcele (Blocked veins in the testicles) again as a supplement it's relatively cheap but takes about four weeks to kick in on average.

Ginkgo Bilboa also very effective.

For a more immediate "kick" I would try Korean Ginseng.

Note both of the above herbs are also prevolent at reducing your blood sugar- but for long term use the Panax Ginseng is safer.

Good luck. It's difficult not to be embarrassed, and that's half the problem too, overthinking will I perform will often result in loss of an erection- You may have heard this 1000 times before but do try to relax.
