Can you believe this.

I was told by the nurse I that I'm testing too much!!.
I test b4 a & 2hrs after meals & bedtime. So I know if what I've eat has been dealt with by the body.
She claims I only need to test morning &.b4 bed, what on earth is that going to tell me?
Eejits, all. I suffer from bilateral proliferative retinopathy, have had several sessions laser (well, actually over 20 all told...) between the two eyes, now have fibrosis...

Frankly I NEED to keep my sugars low.

As I say- eejits.

Hello.
Are you t1 or t2? I'm t1 and had a similar issue. I had a repeat prescription refused (they didn't bother to let me know, pharmacy had to tell me which was rather embarrassing!), phoned GP and was told by the receptionist that I should only be testing up to 6 times per day! Woah I was fuming!
Anyhoo, I rang my diabetes nurse and she wrote to the GP to say they can't restrict my strips. Now there's a note on my file to say no restriction.

Hope that helps!

was going to like that then realised I hate that.

DVLA rules state that you must test before driving and every two hours whilst behind the wheel, even if you are only on diet control or tablets as you can still have a hypo.
This is very new, news ...can you please give more confirmation ? Confused ...hope you don't mind me saying ..thanks Kat
