Hi @henryfran1938 ,

The jury is still out on cannabis & diabetes control. There are two types of oil on the market CBD & THC? The latter has the side effects of the "high."

I'll tag in @JTL , he is pretty informed on such matters..

It's a very long time since I "sourced" such a product. But I hope other's can help! Within the forum ethos rules of course.. :)
 
You can't get cannabis oil that contains THC ... the giggly bit.
Not even sure you can get it with CBD here in the U.k.
Out of touch with the law.

I have to take very strong opiates for my spinal condition.
Highly addictive.
Been on them for three years now so obviously addicted but haven't had to go without yet so don't see or experience the addiction.
Pure THC is available in spray form in this country so I asked about going on that.
Nope have to stay on the addictive stuff.
The reason I can't have the cannabis prescribed is because I know to much about it.
Seriously.
I can't get my head around that.
I said look if I want to get high on cannabis it's available in every town and village in the land ... I'll go buy some.
If you worried I might abuse the spray .... can you explain to me how I can do that?
Like I have it all at once get high and for the rest of the month I have no medication?

How about I abuse the opiates now that's very easy and no one would know because I'm already addicted.
Use them to quickly for pleasure and again I'm left with no essential medicine.
So it seems they'll get me addicted to opium and risk letting me kill myself through abusing them or even accidental double dosing.
They won't give me cannabis that can't kill me.
I have accidently double dosed once a couple of years ago and it was dreadful!
 
This is what I'm on ... right now I'm in pain.

Tapentadol prolonged release (Palexia® SR) is recommended as an option for restricted use within NHS Wales, only in the following subpopulation within its licensed indication: Patients with severe chronic pain, in whom morphine sulphate modified release has failed to provide adequate pain control or is not tolerated. Tapentadol prolonged release (Palexia® SR) is not recommended for the management of severe chronic pain in adults, which can be adequately managed only with opioid analgesics, outside of the subpopulation described above. AWMSG is of the opinion that tapentadol prolonged release (Palexia® SR) should be initially prescribed by a specialist*. Prescribing may be continued in primary care with appropriate communication and specialist input. *Specialist implies specialist team or GP with special interest (GPwSI) with appropriate accreditation from the specialist faculty.
 
Holland & Barrett sell CBD. Twenty pounds. Not high grade. Done nothing for my sciatic pain.
 
If you are after Hemp seed oil you can get it from supermarkets, I think Tesco and Morrisons sell it. It has a good balance of omega 3 and omega 6. Sorry this is the boring reply!

The seed oil is just cooking oil but a very good oil health wise.
There's no drug in the seeds.
 
Can't imagine Tesco's selling the druggy variety! Might improve their bottom line though.
 
So if it’s ‘ supposed to be good ‘ what do you expect it to do for you ?
 
Im curious what it could do, or what folks think it could do? (I genuinely dont know, aside of the hope of it lowering hba1c etc..)
I know of a few people that have used it to slow down serious diseases, to great effect. I dont use it in any way, although I have read over the years what good it can provide as a medicine in various forms, I still dont quite understand why it is banned when cigarettes & alcohol are far more damaging.
 
Hemp is a very useful plant for its fibre, which is what could be very useful when the oil runs out.
The plant materials have other uses but big business basically got rid of the growing and use of hemp as a raw material in order to minimize the alternatives to plastics and other derivatives from crude oil.
Many small farmers in Europe used to grow cash crops of hemp with a very fine fibre, and the American forces exterminated it at the end of WW11despite it having no attraction for smokers - the propaganda was very effective and dope addicts were depicted as very sad creatures, barely Human. The hemp was burnt in the fields and the fires raging out of control often caused a lot of damage to animals and property.
 
Cannabis is one of the most important crop on the planet but big business don't like it.
You have the likes of Dupont to blame for it's legal status.
Without it men couldn't have made sails and set forth on their journeys of discovery.
Wouldn't have the ships ropes or caulking to water poof the boat.
If you had a plant growing in your house now you would have instant access to a drug with a myriad of instant uses.
Won't cure glucoma but will stop it dead in it's tracks. Headache pain sleeplesness period pain on and on the list goes.
You take a few leaves off ... yes leaves you don't always need the bud dry them in th microwave and and smoke it.
It even cleans and clears the lungs .... and withing less than a minute this near magic plant begins to work it's many wonders.

First published in the seventies it comes with a hundred thousand dollar reward to anyone who can prove the author wrong. To this day no doctor scientist researcher law maker etc has claimed that money and it's not exactly peanuts.
The author is the main force behind America's sudden legalising in state after state ... he's dead now.

CBD Oil is available in the UK, google it and it will come up with suppliers in the UK, I went to Suffolk yesterday and got some free samples, tincture and tablets to try. I have diabetic nerve pain, was given opiates by my GP, felt really bad, will give these a try, The company were really helpful, gave me a tour of their company and wouldn't take any money !!

Hi @henryfran1938 ,fyo saw some canabis cbd oil in a Grapetree health food shop yesterday at about £20 a bottle. Seems a lot to me for not very much! I don't know how many shops Grapetree have, but I think they have an online shop.
