Carbohydrates - Food of the Devil?

Hi everybody!

Please keep the civil discussion at maximum & the "drum & base" bickering to a minimum.

Peace out.

& thanks mutchly.

The OED defines poison as: 'A substance that is capable of causing the illness or death of a living organism when introduced or absorbed.'
So when I say that carbs are poisonous to me I am semantically correct and see no reason to alter my language because they do cause me to become ill, that is why I am on the forum in the first place.
Were I allergic to peanuts, for example, it would also be linguistically correct to say that they too were poisonous to me but it would be clealy absurd to suggest that they were poisonous to everyone not sharing that same allergy.
Language is important or people take offence but if the language is correct and people take offence then so be it.

You know what? I cannot fault that.

Nice hound btw.

Hi Master Mbaker @Mbaker , my 6 yo took her first Taekwondo (Korean Karate) grading today and passed. So she is coming after you.

She was fuelled up on a combo of fried pork and rice.

Massive congratulations to her, you must be so proud. Hardly fair, she's got 45 years on me, and I did caveat that I was "once" a champ, 24 years have since passed.
