the idea that low carb is going to stunt the development of a child could be in error
Dr Bernstein frequently emphasises his concern that parents are stunting their children's growth by not feeding them enough protein.
 

A friend of mine was recently diagnosed. He was sent to see the dietitian at his GP surgery for diet advice.

He told her how well I was doing on the lo carb high fat diet.

She said words along the lines of

"Officially I am not allowed to recommend that diet to you, but off the record, if I was diagnosed with type 2, I'd start that diet without a seconds hesitation"

This system prevents ineffective and potentially harmful treatments being approved.
what like the low fat diets that have been approved for decades now? Because they’re not causing any harm to anyone are they? .

Other than that one sentence I totally agree.
