Carnivore Corner

Bit of a long way to go for me dinner though.. what's it called.. just in case?

Brastuga (formerly Brazgrill). It was truly outstanding meat and the service excellent too. Bargain price of £12 under Eat out to help out but the full price would be more than worth it.

October for me is exclusively steak, eggs and water. Delicious and fulfilling. Still missing coffee and cream a little bit if I'm honest with myself, but that will pass. Have to say I'm already feeling different without dairy. Even less bloating. My core feels rock solid like I'm about to start sprouting abs.

First fasting test of the month and I rolled a 4.2 mmol/L. Lowest fasting glucose I've ever recorded. More at ten...:shifty:

Forgive me for I have slipped a little in September...
Few too many non meaty sides.. Oppo, 90% choc, raspberries... and a gain of 7 pounds.

Started the meat only October yesterday (still with coffee and cream though).
1.4 pounds down this morning .. I'll keep you company - will have pork and lamb too tho if that's ok.

I'll allow it :hilarious:

To be honest although I'm still missing the coffee and cream, I'm already starting to feel that my relationship with it wasn't too dissimilar to that which I once had with bread - a subconscious crutch - part of a reward system perhaps. I've tried giving it up more than once before but this time I'm confident I've cracked it and won't be looking back. This is a personal thing, though, as I have never been much good at moderation and find abstinence makes for an easier life.

The less said about about the other stuff in this thread, the better. Go stand on the naughty step :meh:

I may have strayed too. Nuts, choc, home made cake.......so perhaps I should join the meat, eggs, fish only party too. Will need to keep cream for tea.

Please may I join you. I stopped eating veg about 5 weeks ago but have stumbled a little with peanuts on a couple of occasions. I have not touched anything sweet for 18 months except for a half teaspoon to test my parents diamond wedding cake. My friend made it an was concerned that the white powder that she assumed was flour could have been bicarb. It wasn't but the sweetness of the cake made me spit it out.
I will still be partaking of my 3 cups of decaf coffee with cream through the day. Most days are OMAD. I am hoping to loose between 7 and 10 pounds before the end of the year.
Tonight's meal was rib eye steak

The more the merrier!

3.7 mmol/L :wideyed:

Two consecutive fasting glucose records. Only change has been taking that final step to 100% carnivore by quitting coffee & cream. No idea why, but the numbers don't lie.

As normal glucose level is about 5 mmol/L what is the point in going so low?
