As normal glucose level is about 5 mmol/L what is the point in going so low?

You make it sound like it's deliberate.. rather than what the body does in the absence of carbs?
If unmedicated then maybe "normal" is in the 3's and 4's.
As there are few metabolically healthy people measuring their blood glucose levels regularly then how do we really know what "normal" is?

No point per se. It's not a competition. It's just what my body is currently doing. I'm not going to argue with it. I feel amazing and am maintaining weight whilst eating everything I want :smug:

EDIT: I am in permanent and deep nutritional ketosis. Since I'm very insulin sensitive (in the setting of a low carbohydrate diet) and metabolically healthy, there's clearly very little demand for my liver to manufacture glucose.

3.7 mmol/L is perfectly fine in the absence of exogenous insulin or hypoglycemics. There was a trial conducted where those in ketosis were given insulin to tank their glucose down to ~1.5mmol/L and the participants were all fine. I don't have a link but I believe @bulkbiker may have?

over selling.... oh so many things are enthusiastically oversold
3.7 mmol/L :wideyed:

Two consecutive fasting glucose records. Only change has been taking that final step to 100% carnivore by quitting coffee & cream. No idea why, but the numbers don't lie.

I could live without the cream but coffee? ..... Omg !

Possibly one of the most informative podcasts I have heard recently.
I'm not allowed to post a link because of fruity adult language in the video but if you go to the Aubrey Marcus podcast it's number 269 (Dr Paul Saladino) I would recommend watching for anyone interested in carnivory and its benefits.
@Jaylee is that ok?

Hi,

DCUK is a forum with a diverse community cross section, imbedding any content with expletives isn't allowed.

I have the podcast on in the background, & I'm personally enjoying this. Two dudes, shooting the "shed." ;)
The analogies are great too.

Looks like you may have forgot the title. :) "Should You Only Eat Meat? | SHOCKING Science On The Carnivore Diet with Dr. Paul Saladino."

I no longer really do any of this for diabetes reasons as I cracked that nut ages ago, but I've been testing my glucose a bit more than normal recently just out of curiosity to see what's happening. My app is now estimating my HbA1c as 26mmol/mol (4.5%).

And all while eating all the food I love to total satiety with no calorie counting, macro monitoring or clock watching. Major win for the carnivore lifestyle. I'm full-Saladino for life

Oh my. Still licking my lips. Gigantic lamb ribs rubbed with salt and lemon pepper then air fried. Cor!

It’s a side plate, but they were big! And fatty.

How long did you cook them for, and what temperature?
I'm still trying to get used to my air fryer

About 25 minutes on 180. Would usually be a shorter time, but these were very big.

Do you have a meat thermometer, @MrsA2 ? When we were getting to grips with the AF, it was well used.

Recently bought a rather expensive jar of high quality bone broth concentrate, made from grass fed AU cattle, with no additives other than salt. No real reason other than for hot winter beverages now that I've quit coffee. However, after three weeks, not only does my skin look and feel even better, but my joints feel like they're lubricated with butter. Reckon I could easily take any of you on in a game of Twister :shifty:

Pretty sure I'm ten years younger since going down this carnivore rabbit hole
