Cerebral spinal fluid leak

This is not a common condition and I cannot find much info on it. I’ve had it now for > 4 weeks been in hospital for over a week but it is not getting any better. If I stand or sit my head erupts into pain , like having a heavy weight put on the head.

I’ve had 3 blood patches which haven’t worked and am off work sick. I’m being readmitted to hospital Friday if not improved.

My only relief is lying down , painkillers don’t work.

Diabetes management is getting harder as I can’t exercise.

Anyone have experience of CSF leaks , tips or advice?

It’s ****** rotten isn’t it.
It’s relatively common following spinal/epidural anaesthesia but I don’t know much about any other causes. Blood patches are usually the ‘cure’ and the other one is time.
Are you seeing anaesthesiologists?

No anaesthesiologists aren’t involved in the blood patch process , at least not here

Unfortunately my cause is unknown at this stage. What is frustrating is there is very little info on it i.e other experiences . T1 is a stroll in the park in comparison!
