Nothing like the good old days.

Snowy , poor sindy , you also have a nice time for Christmas ....let it snow x

My and sister and I always got something new to wear on Christmas day , we had to choose it from a catalogue , I think the money was paid back all year , once a week ....

I also gave my doll a hair cut. It looked awful. I also drew in her eyebrows darker with a biro which turned them blue. My Mum was cross with me! I wanted to make her look fashionable

Oh Kat I cannot stop laughing I also tried that thing called sewing tried to make myself a pair of gloves they just kept getting smaller and smaller

We had to wear a dress on Christmas day , it was a posh thing to do then ....in our catalogue road ....
I once had a long whitle jumper , loved it so much I would not put my coat on , and it was winter ...

Those cardboard cut out dolls. You used to have to cut out all the different outfits and fold the tabs over to dress them
Oh yes! They had the trendiest outfits (unless you got the historical - or was that hysterical ones)

I also remember one year I had an "aga". Made of tin plate and there were parafin sticks you could buy (like a small version of a firelighter) that could be put in the burners and lit. Don't remember if I actually managed to "cook" anything on it. I did see one a long time ago in a toy museum in Brighton. Can you imagine us getting anything like that now?
